Tropicana, a solo exhibition by Bernadette Twomey, ran at Studio 8 Currumbin in February 2025.
Bernadette is an Australian botanical artist whose work explodes with colour, joy and life. Working from her Brisbane studio, her paintings are striking, layered and bold, deeply inspired by colour, mood and the seasons.
She draws from many sources, but always from life: her home, and the tropical far north Queensland landscape where she was raised. That influence is everywhere in this body of work, electric, abundant, alive.
Bernadette's paintings bring a fresh contemporary energy to botanical and abstract art. Whether you're drawn to dreamy pastels or full-voltage hues, there's a joyful conviction in every brushstroke.
