Jo Kaiser

Artist Bio

Jo Kaiser is an abstract expressionist artist based at Studio 8 Currumbin, where she also practices as an Art Therapy Practitioner following her 2025 studies. She is an affiliate artist with Studio on Brunswick, where she held her solo exhibition 'Boketto' in 2025, and was runner up in the 2025 Husk Ink Gin Award.

Her work has also featured in Studio 8's Eclectica Exhibition, the Murwillumbah Arts Trail, and commissions for private collectors and medical practices across the Gold Coast.

Jo paints from emotion rather than plan, letting her large scale oil and mixed media works evolve as she creates them. Built up in layers with oil sticks and hand stitching, her paintings are deliberately messy and moody, leaving space for viewers to find their own meaning. She is currently developing a new body of work for her solo exhibition in September 2026, exploring the deeper, more hidden emotions we all carry.
